Poem Store is a performance poetry project that consists of composing one-of-a-kind poems on a manual typewriter, in exchange for a donation. Your subject, your price.
In 2009, I met artist Zachary Houston who asked me to join him at a street fair where we sat side by side typing poems. He changed my life by sharing his profession with me. Poem Store has been my only job ever since. I am available for private and public events, weddings, baby showers, gallery openings, birthday parties, black tie affairs, educational workshops and more. You can often find me typing on Sundays at the Hollywood Farmers Market.
My second book, Go Ahead & Like It, is about the power of making lists of things you like.
My first book, The Collected, is a compendium of narrative poems describing found photographs.
